SERVICE – Thursday April 15th – UU Fast Day Break-Fast Worship at 6PM with
a Soup-Salad-Bread Potluck to Follow. UU
Fast Day is A holiday with historical
roots and modern significance. This is an opportunity to restrain from
your normal allotment of food: some choose to fast completely, some only
drink liquids, some, especially children, choose to eat modest amounts.
Historically, Fast Days are times to consider the struggles in your own life as
well as the struggles across our globe. All are encouraged to participate
and put aside the approximate amount of food you (or your family) would have consumed
in a normal day, to donate to Loudoun Interfaith Food Bank. Bring your
donations with you, when we gather at UUSterling for our intergenerational Worship
and Break-Fast.
